SyllabusBook.com ("we", "our", "us") operates an educational social networking platform integrated with virtual schools, virtual colleges and virtual offices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data — name, email, phone, city/district/state, and role (student, tutor, company, property owner, shop or startup).
• Learning data — course enrollments, exam attempts, certificates, video progress and attendance.
• Transaction data — payments made through our payment partner Razorpay (we never store your card, UPI or bank credentials).
• Usage data — pages visited, device/browser information and approximate location, used for analytics and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide courses, job applications, rental listings, marketplace orders and startup services.
• To process payments, issue receipts and prevent fraud.
• To send OTPs, service notifications and (with your consent) promotional updates.
• To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics.

3. Sharing

We share data only with: (a) payment gateways (Razorpay) to process transactions; (b) companies you apply to, when you submit a job application; (c) property owners / shops you contact through the platform; and (d) authorities when required by law. We never sell your personal data.

4. Data Security & Retention

Passwords are stored hashed. Access to personal data is role-restricted. You may request account deletion from Settings — associated personal data is removed as per our deletion workflow, except records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies for login and preference cookies for a better experience. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; some features may stop working.
